Responding to the rising number of data breaches at US retailers, President Obama on Friday signed an executive order that will implement enhanced payment security measures throughout the federal government.
Kaspersky has discovered a fresh ZeuS malware strain which has targeted financial institutions worldwide. The company says the banking trojan’s latest form has targeted a total of 150 different banks and 20 payment systems worldwide; focusing on the infiltration of online banking.
Malware that cannot be uninstalled by the end user is being pre-loaded onto some cheap Android smartphones. The malware is pre-loaded into the system directory of the handsets at an unknown point within the supply chain.
